Aged Care Specialists (ACS) was conceived in 2002 with the Managing Director and Principal Consultant, Peter Watson leaving the then, pre-eminent aged care industry consultancy - Viney Consulting Group. Specialising in the financial management and financial assessment of aged care services and retirement villages in the Not-for-Profit and Public sectors, Aged Care Specialists has conceptualised and developed the ACS Funding Review - an arm of the business designed to reinject much deserved aged care funding back to the Services.

Aged Care Specialists have approximately 40 professionals working nationally - with teams in all states.

The Principal, Peter Watson

Prior to entering the Aged Care and Retirement Living industry, Peter spent 8 years as the Financial Controller and 2IC of a leading Direct Marketing organisation, GBM Logistics - the flagship of Graham Smorgon's (Chairman, Smorgon ARC) private group of companies. Peter then entered the Aged Care and Retirement Living industry after being head-hunted to design and implement the financial systems required to undertake the major redevelopment/refurbishment of the old Freemasons Homes on Punt Rd to a six level, 178 luxury Extra-Service aged care facility as well as the ongoing operating systems. In 2001, Peter became a consultant with the Viney Consulting Group where he specialised in the financial modelling, strategic planning and financial systems design before starting up Aged Care Specialists.
